Nickel Metal Hydride (NiMH) batteries deliver a lot of power, which is why they are used so often in digital cameras. The charge doesn't last long, however. They can self-discharge to the point of uselessness in a month or two. Nickel Cadmium (NiCd) batteries do not hold as much power, but their self-discharge rate is pretty slow. see a related discussion |
