I have put the GPS units as well as the midterm exam at Marc's house alongside the boat boxes on his front porch. There are six exams per boat (extra on Pilgrimage) in the folders; one GPS on each box +2 extras alongside. The two extras could go to the two Erics on Marc's boat or wherever needed.
Each GPS is programmed for 14 waypoints on Catalina, taken from places we have been in the past. You should add to these by holding the enter button down for 2 seconds anytime you are departing, arriving, noting a special event like dolphins or whales, or anything to be logged. When you mark a waypoint in this fashion it will log the date and precise time of that position. When you return the GPS units, I will create a map showing everywhere you went and a log of the events that occurred. You will need to keep track of these, either in the GPS unit or separately in your notes.

The MST 214B outline below shows the class schedule, and MST 215 meets on those same nights. This class is all about leadership and the practice of seamanship, and is designed to get you comfortable with organizing and running a multi-day voyage. You'll have a boat captain with you as a guide, mentor, and safety net. |

This is the class that runs concurrently with MST 214B. MST 215 Students are the Student Skippers, and the 214B Students form the crews for each boat.
