He was a student in the Saddleback classes for several years including skippering our local and island cruises. Regarding the MOB in the news recently and discussed in class Mon. night, Kevin wrote: He was on Derry-Londonderry, not our boat. I will find the link from the skipper incident report and post it. The rescue took over 90 minutes. They lost visual, and a storm came through while he was still in the water. We spoke with Andrew (the MOB) briefly a few nights ago. He mentioned the toughest parts were the storm, and the actual extraction from the water. He owes his survival to his drysuit, and his personal AIS.
