The Southern Regional Headquarters of NOAA now has a Weather School as part of its web site.
The school can be reached by through - http://www.srh.noaa.gov This takes you to the Southern Regional Headquarters home page. Click on the "Jetstream On Line Weather School" button, located on the righthand side of the home page, just below the header. Fun spot to dig about in. Have fun. Thanks to Marilu Trannor @NOAA, Salt Lake City, for the intro. Regards, Norris Tomlinson

I found this fascinating web site that explains the coriolios force on wind and how those confusing vectors in fig 5-3 of the handout are suppose to work.

Here is the site for Nasa's World Wind. The Scientific Visualization Studio is very cool and should be of interest to everyone.

Here is the site for the Argo diving buoys. The animation that is found under the pictures section is really cool.
