This past Saturday, September 6, GeoEye, Inc. announced the successful launch and deployment of GeoEye-1,which owns the distinction of being “the world’s highest resolution, commercial Earth-imaging satellite,” from Vandenberg Air Force Base in California at 11:50 a.m. (Pacific Time).
