Sailing the Croatian Islands
by Captain Susie Campbell
On a recent two-week sailing odyssey leaving from Split and sailing to Dubrovnik and back, in the Dalmatian coast of Croatia, WORSA member, Susie Campbell, led three sailing vessels and 22 participants around the islands of Brac, Hvar, Korcula, Mljet and the cities of Dubrovnik, Split and Podgora on the mainland. Susie says, “The water was beautiful, the weather was great, and I’ve never laughed so hard or eaten so well.” At the December WORSA meeting, Susie will talk about the trip and take names of interested participants for the next sailing adventure.
Learn about the Croatian Islands, hear about their fascinating journey, hear some Croatian music, and sample some Croatian cuisine at the Wednesday, December 12, 7 p.m., holiday meeting at the Aventura Sailing Association Clubhouse, 24707 Dana Drive, in the Dana Point Harbor. Guests are welcome!
