Hi everyone, You are invited to the WORSA (Women's Ocean Racing Sailing Association) meeting on Wednesday, February 15, at 7:30 p.m. at the Aventura building in the Dana Point Harbor. We have Captain Diane DeWitt featured as our guest speaker who will talk about her recent boat delivery to Hawaii. Following that, we'll begin our first in a series of ten lectures/demonstrations on sailing-related topics. You'll get a chance to refresh your memory of basic terminology and the parts of the boat. Captain Annette Cook will talk about the points of sail and Susie (I hope) will demonstrate the valuable bowline. You'll get a chance to meet with other sailors and have some fun tying knots. It's only $50 a year to join WORSA, and there all kinds of benefits including day sails and a trip to Catalina. I'd like to invite you to join, but in any case, please be my guest on the 15th. I look forward to seeing you all there! Feel free to bring a friend.
