Med-Mooring in the Ionian Islands, Greece

On a recent two-week charter cruise leaving from Corfu, Greece, in the Ionian Island group, WORSA members, Captain Annette Cook and Captain Susie Campbell led two sailing vessels and crew.

At the November WORSA meeting, Annette will talk about Med-mooring (dropping an anchor and backing in between boats and tying off with the stern to a cement quay) which is traditional in many parts of the world, requiring a lot of planning, coordination, and concentration.

Learn how to Med-moor, hear about their fascinating journey, and sample some Greek cuisine at the Wednesday, November 15, 7 p.m., meeting at Aventura Sailing Association in the Dana Point Harbor, 24707 Dana Drive.
