I just sent the following to my family. I'm thinking you might agree and want to forward similar sentiment. A sudden outpouring might squelch it. 'Course maybe our President will bring us to our senses in the morning, but I'm not holding my breath. I don't know how this will play out, but seeing the cheering crowds on TV reminded me of the Arab world jumping up and down with their hands in the air like apes after 9/11. We are better than that and our Media Circus is making us look like idiots. I hope you will do whatever you can to let those like Geraldo know that war is not a football game. One guy dead does not make us safe again; this is still serious business. I know you agree, but speak out. Thanks, Mark |
