As shown in your syllabus, student skippers are required to write a paper for each cruise with observations relating to command and organization as listed. Even if you were not the student skipper on the vessel [but are a MST215 student] you should write a paper with your own observations of the organization of your crew.
One very interesting section may be the relationship between the student skipper and the boat captain. In one case there was a boat owner, a volunteer captain and then a student skipper. Should be a very interesting paper describing how that chain of command worked [or didn't]. :-)
Be sure you cover all of the listed topics in your paper. Doesn't need to be more than 2 or 3 pages but will be graded on thoroughness, insight and creativity.
At some point Marc will be looking for an evaluation of your crew so you can be thinking about that as well.
